Who we are and what this covers
Zippit is a neighbourhood marketplace. Local shops list what they sell, you build one cart across up to four of them, and one Zippit runner collects and delivers everything in a single bag.
Zippit Retail Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (fictional) runs the app and the delivery. We are the technology and delivery platform. We are not the seller of the goods. These terms cover your use of the Zippit app and website, and every order placed through them.
Using Zippit
You must be 18 or older, or use Zippit with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms. You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep the code to yourself and give us accurate delivery details.
Please do not misuse the service: no fake orders, no abuse of runners or shop staff, and no attempts to break or scrape the app.
Shops are the sellers of record
Each shop in your cart is the seller of its own items. The shop sets its prices and MRPs, confirms stock, packs your items and issues the bill for them. Your contract to buy an item is with that shop. Zippit passes the order on, collects payment on the shop's behalf, and delivers.
- You can order from up to 4 shops in one order.
- If a shop is out of an item, it may suggest a substitute. Nothing is swapped without your approval.
- Product descriptions and photos come from shops. Packaging may differ slightly from what you see.
Prices and the delivery charge
The price you see is the price you pay. Delivery is the only charge we add, and we show it in your cart before you pay.
- First shop pickup
- ₹25
- Each extra shop on the same run
- +₹15
- Delivery on orders from ₹399
- Free
- Delivery on orders from ₹199, Fastlane members
- Free
- Handling, packing, rain, surge, small-cart fees
- ₹0
Tips are optional and go entirely to your runner. If a shop's price changes before you pay, the cart updates and you confirm again.
Delivery estimates
We show a live estimate as a range. It is an estimate, not a promise. It depends on how many shops are on your run, how busy the counters are, traffic and weather.
Runners set their own steady pace and never see a countdown. If a run is taking much longer than the range we showed, the app tells you why and lets you cancel for free until pickup.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel for free until the first shop accepts your order. After that, the shop has started work on it, so cancelling may not be possible. The full breakdown is on our refunds page.
A shop can cancel an item or an order if it cannot fulfil it. You are refunded in full for anything not delivered.
What you cannot order
Zippit does not deliver:
- alcohol, tobacco and other age-restricted goods;
- prescription-only medicines. Chemists on Zippit list over-the-counter items only;
- anything illegal, hazardous or regulated for sale in Karnataka.
We may cancel an order that includes such items and refund it.
Liability
Shops are responsible for the quality, safety and legality of what they sell. We are responsible for handling your bag with care and delivering it. Where the law allows us to limit liability, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be waived.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute cannot be settled through our grievance process, the courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction, without limiting your right to approach a consumer commission.
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date on this page and tell you in the app before the change applies to your next order.
